Ingredients
For the Cupcakes:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup milk

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt
For the Frosting:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1–2 tbsp milk
-
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Red and blue food coloring (gel preferred)

Patriotic sprinkles (optional)
Instructions

Preheat Oven: To 350°F (175°C) and line a mini muffin pan with mini liners.

Make Batter: Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, vanilla, and milk. Mix in dry ingredients until smooth.

Fill & Bake: Fill liners 2/3 full. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.

Make Frosting: Beat butter, then add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Divide and tint with red and blue coloring.

Decorate: Pipe or spread frosting on cooled cupcakes. Add patriotic sprinkles for flair.

For a swirl effect, spoon red, white, and blue frosting into a piping bag side-by-side.

Use gel food coloring for more vibrant shades without thinning the frosting.
