Description

Celebrate Independence Day with a colorful and layered 4th of July Trifle. This dessert combines layers of cake, cream, and patriotic fruits for a crowd-pleasing treat.

1 pound pound cake, cut into 1-inch cubes 2 cups whipped cream or whipped topping 1 cup strawberries, sliced 1 cup blueberries 1 cup raspberries 1/2 cup vanilla pudding Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)


Instructions

Cut pound cake into cubes. In a large glass trifle bowl or individual cups, layer 1/3 of the cake cubes. Spread 1/3 of vanilla pudding over the cake. Add a layer of strawberries and raspberries. Top with a layer of whipped cream. Repeat the layers two more times, alternating cake, pudding, fruit, and whipped cream. Finish with blueberries on top and garnish with mint leaves if desired. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe berries for the best flavor. Substitute whipped cream with dairy-free alternatives if needed. Serve chilled for a refreshing dessert.
