Description
Asiago Chicken & Gnocchi brings together tender pan-seared chicken, pillowy gnocchi, and a creamy garlic Asiago cheese sauce. This one-pan meal delivers bold flavor and cozy comfort in every bite.
Ingredients
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
3/4 cup shredded Asiago cheese
1 package (16 oz) potato gnocchi
1/2 cup baby spinach (optional)
Fresh parsley and more Asiago for garnish
Instructions
1. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken on both sides until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic and red pepper flakes until fragrant.
4. Add cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer.
5. Stir in Asiago cheese until melted and smooth.
6. Add gnocchi and cook for 5–7 minutes until tender and sauce thickens.
7. Return chicken to skillet and stir in spinach if using.
8. Simmer 2–3 more minutes, then garnish with parsley and extra Asiago.
9. Serve warm.
Notes
Swap Asiago with Parmesan for a milder taste.
Add mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes for depth.
Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
