Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup fruit jam (strawberry or raspberry)
Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
6. Roll dough into balls, flatten slightly, and create an indentation in the center.
7. Fill indentation with about 1 tsp of fruit jam.
8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden.
9. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
10. Optional: Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
