This Easy Strawberry Cake is soft, moist, and bursting with fresh strawberry flavor. It’s perfect for any occasion, comes together in no time, and looks as delightful as it tastes.
Ingredients
1 box white cake mix
1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin
1 cup mashed fresh strawberries
4 large eggs
½ cup vegetable oil
¼ cup water
½ cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix and strawberry gelatin.
3. Add mashed strawberries, eggs, oil, water, sour cream, and vanilla.
4. Beat with a mixer on medium speed until smooth.
5. Pour batter into prepared dish and smooth the top.
6. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
7. Cool completely before serving or frosting.
Notes
Top with cream cheese frosting or whipped cream for extra flavor.
You can substitute fresh strawberries with frozen (thawed and drained).
Make it a layer cake by baking in two round pans.
