  • Author: meryem srhir
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings (makes about 8 medium pancakes) 1x

Description

These homemade pancakes are soft, fluffy, and incredibly easy to make with simple pantry ingredients. Perfect for weekend breakfasts or anytime you’re craving a comforting stack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 3 ½ tsp baking powder

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 ¼ cups milk

  • 1 egg

  • 3 tbsp butter, melted

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  • Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

  • Add Wet Ingredients:
Make a well in the center and add milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla (if using). Mix just until combined—don’t overmix.

  • Cook Pancakes:
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or oil. Pour ¼ cup batter per pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and edges look set, then flip and cook another 1–2 minutes.

  • Serve:
Serve warm with butter, syrup, fresh fruit, or your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For extra fluffy pancakes, let the batter rest for 5 minutes before cooking.

  • Make them dairy-free by using plant-based milk and oil instead of butter.

  • Add blueberries, chocolate chips, or banana slices to the batter for fun variations.
