Description
Honey Lime Chicken bursts with zesty citrus and sweet honey flavors, creating a juicy and flavorful dish perfect for grilling, baking, or pan-searing.
Ingredients
1 ½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
3 tbsp olive oil
¼ cup honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
Zest and juice of 2 limes
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp chili powder (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Whisk together olive oil, honey, soy sauce, lime zest, lime juice, garlic, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
2. Place chicken in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over it.
3. Refrigerate and marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
4. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
5. Remove chicken from marinade and cook for 5–6 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
6. Let chicken rest for 5 minutes.
7. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve.
Notes
Double the marinade and set some aside before adding chicken to use as a sauce.
Serve with rice, quinoa, or grilled vegetables.
Try using bone-in chicken for more flavor but adjust cooking time.
