Ingredients

1½ lbs ground beef (80/20)

Salt & pepper, to taste

8 slices bacon

4 slices sharp cheddar cheese

4 burger buns
Maple Whiskey Glaze:

¼ cup maple syrup

2 tbsp whiskey

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions

Cook the Bacon:
Fry or bake bacon until crispy. Set aside on paper towels. -
Make the Glaze:
In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup, whiskey, mustard, soy sauce, and paprika. Simmer 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened. -
Form and Grill Patties:
Shape ground beef into 4 patties. Season with salt and pepper. Grill or pan-fry over medium-high heat, 4–5 minutes per side, until desired doneness. -
Add Cheese & Glaze:
In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with cheese and a spoonful of glaze. Cover briefly to melt. -
Assemble Burgers:
Toast buns if desired. Layer each with a glazed patty, bacon, and any preferred toppings like lettuce or grilled onions.
