Description

This Salsa Chicken is a no-fuss, flavor-packed dish made with tender chicken breasts simmered in zesty salsa. It’s perfect for busy weeknights and can be served over rice, in tacos, or alongside veggies.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 cups salsa (mild or spicy, your choice)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, cilantro, lime wedges


Instructions

  • Season Chicken:
    Sprinkle chicken breasts with garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.

  • Cook Chicken:
    In a large skillet over medium heat, place seasoned chicken and pour salsa over the top. Cover and cook for 20–25 minutes, turning once, until chicken is cooked through.

  • Shred (Optional):
    For a shredded version, remove chicken, shred with two forks, and return to skillet to soak up the salsa.

  • Serve:
    Serve over rice, in tacos, burrito bowls, or with roasted veggies. Add toppings as desired.

Notes

  • Use store-bought or homemade salsa.

  • Try with chicken thighs for a juicier result.
