Description

Juicy shrimp sautéed in a buttery garlic-lemon sauce, served over pasta and paired with golden, crispy garlic bread—this shrimp scampi bowl is a quick, satisfying dinner that tastes like a restaurant classic.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Shrimp Scampi:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 1/4 cup white wine or chicken broth

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • Grated Parmesan, for serving

For the Garlic Bread:

  • 1/2 baguette or 4 slices Italian bread

  • 3 tbsp butter, softened

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Cook Pasta:
Boil pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  • Make Garlic Bread:
Mix butter, garlic, parsley, and salt. Spread on bread slices and toast in oven at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes until golden.

  • Cook Shrimp:
In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; cook 1 minute.

  • Sauté Shrimp:
Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

  • Make Sauce:
Add lemon juice and wine/broth. Simmer for 2 minutes to slightly reduce. Toss in pasta and parsley.

  • Serve:
Divide into bowls, top with Parmesan, and serve with warm garlic bread.

Notes

  • Swap pasta for zucchini noodles or rice for a low-carb/gluten-free option.

  • Don’t overcook shrimp—they become rubbery if left too long on heat.

  • Add a splash of cream for a richer sauce.

  • Garlic bread can be air-fried for extra crispiness.
